These are all pics of accessories for Blakely's Nursery! (From top) Her Name Frame that goes over her crib, a mirror I hand painted, and a closeup of one of her Shell letters... and it's all a lot more special because we made all the pieces from scratch :) We've also painted and hung shelves, fisherman/shell netting, curtains I made and more changes on the aquarium! Were hoping to get as much as we can completed by the time we have our Maternity Photoshoot in 2 wks. I finally bought some baby detergent (which I didn't even know existed until my husband told me about it)! So after recently receiving all these cute clothes from my Sister-in-Law, Mother-in-Law, Cousin, old Roomie, and friends; I washed and hung all her new adorable clothes! I'm still not finished organizing the closet... this may take a few days (Prior to Blakely it was our storage closet, so were having to find places for everything to go!). Can't wait until we get it all together! We LOVE working on projects together and making all the decor... from the Wedding to the Nursery, my Husband has definitely brought out my Crafty Side!!
I am now in the 3rd trimester!! Since I last wrote a post I have had a 24 wk and 28 wk appt. The 24 wk went great: 147 heartbeat, belly measured normal, and I was able to get a remedy for all my acid reflux! Today was the 28 wk, which was the Glucose appt. I had to chug a nasty sugary drink and sit an hr waiting for blood tests. They are also testing me for any other low levels of calcium, potassium, or magnesium b/c of my frequent charlie horses I get in my calves :-/ Hoping everything comes back normal! After today's appt. I start seeing the Doc every 2 weeks.... phew it feels like an eternity until she gets here~ Besides the acid reflux and charlie horses I've been feeling great! The only other disruptive thing going on is my sleep schedule.... I have been going to sleep around 11PM every night and waking up at the oddest hours; this morning it was a little after 4AM :( It must be my body's way of getting me ready for the odd hours the baby will keep me on!?!
We toured a couple Daycares in Lexington and we both fell in love with one about 1/2 mile from my work! They had the best reviews, great teacher to child ratio, 4 cameras in each room where you can watch your child online at anytime, and lots of other little wonderful selling points for us! JP loved their use of high level technology ;) Thank goodness about 3 wks after I go back to work my Mom has agreed to watch her everyday! Since she doesn't have to go back to NC until the end of August :)) Can't wait for my parents to get here March 31st! They will be here just in time for the Baby Shower April 1st!
Daddy was finally able to catch Blakely tossing and turning in my tummy! Before she would move and I would tell him to feel, but she would stop moving.... Now he can feel her all the time!! Aunt KiKi was able to feel her move the other day too~ I can't wait til our lil bundle of joy gets here!! I'm so impatient... 12 wks feels like forever... But we still have a lot to do before May 27th! Until then, JP and I are enjoying each other's company as much as possible (since we won't get much alone time when she gets here)! Just when I think I can't love that man anymore a new day begins and my love for him grows beyond its limits! He's my everything and I would be completely lost without him~
